Cool App of the Week: Winner this week, The XMMS Project

Those of you in windows who are most likely used to 'Winamp' should have no trouble finding your way around XMMS (X Multi Media System) which features similar look-style, and skins.
The XMMS Project is this weeks winner of the 'Cool App of the Week' award due to their continued effort to better their application which has grown so far.
Cool App of the Week: This week's winner of the 'Cool App of the Week' award is Licq

This week's winner of the 'Cool App of the Week' award is Licq. Licq is a multi-threaded ICQ clone written mostly in C++. It uses an extensive plugin system to manage many different functions. The main gui is written using the Qt widget set. Licq is distributed under GPL with some special QPL exceptions for Qt.
Cool App of the Week: Xine

xine is a free video player which plays mpeg-2 and mpeg-1 video, DVDs (unlocked/unencrypted only), video CDs, SVCDs, and AVI files (using Win32 codecs) with synchronized audio and video, and optionally fullscreen using the Xv extensions in Xfree86 4.x.
Cool App of the Week: TuxCall

TuxCall is a call waiting detector that hangs up the modem connection when a voice call arrives. It reads sound from
modem's speaker (must be connected to audio line input), and kills pppd, allowing you to answer the phone.
